About Us

We got engaged 10/5/07, and we're having a small family garden wedding. I am the first of my family to get married, and my side of the family has no traditions to upload so I'm kinda at a loss and am just feeling my way through all this. Craig is a huge help (I nicknamed him the Master Planner because he plans the best dates and vacations for us), and we're tackling this wedding together. He has the password to this account so don't be surprised if he posts under my handle!! We're not the kind of people who have dreamed of this day forever--we want to provide a great setting for a party for our guests and have a chance to spend time with relatives (most of whom will have to fly to attend). We want to be married more than have a wedding if that makes any sense.

About Our Wedding

We're having a small family wedding with an outdoor garden ceremony for approximately 60 guests. I love to garden, and my only request for the wedding was to have it in late Spring when the flowers are at their peak. If we have a "theme" to our wedding, it is blue flowers with an Asian flair.

Our philosophy was to have a nicer wedding for fewer guests. We did a lot of DIY details to personalize the wedding such as custom designed letterpress invites, origami lily escort cards, table runners with fabric from Hong Kong, etc.
